New Jaguar Land Rover Driving Experience Recreates The 1960s
Classic Drive event lets punters drive E-Types, XK150s, and Series I Land Rovers.

Jaguar Land Rover has launched a new classic driving experience that allows guests to sample iconic classics such as the Jaguar E-Type and Land Rover Series I. Held at Eastnor Castle, in Herefordshire, the United Kingdom, the Classic Drive event allows paying customers to spend the day testing Land Rover's most famous 4x4s. An early Series I, a Series III, and a Range Rover Classic will all be available to drive, too.

Guests will then be able to drive sister brand Jaguar's sportier offerings, which include the XK150 of the late 1950s, the world-famous E-Type and the Mk2 made famous by TV's Inspector Morse.

The £495 (approximately $647 at the current exchange rates) experience takes place in and around the Eastnor Castle estate, where Land Rover develops its modern off-roaders and holds the Land Rover Experience driving days, which allow customers to test the brand's current models on gruelling dirt tracks.

Surprisingly, the company is letting the public loose on the off-road courses in its heritage models, although the Jaguar vehicles will be driven on metalled roads.

Tim Hannig, director of Jaguar Land Rover Classic, said: "Jaguar and Land Rover have created some of the most beautiful and iconic British cars ever. While their DNA lives on in our modern line-up, we want people to experience where the story developed."

"Equally, the Eastnor estate has played a huge part in shaping our business, so to be able to bring a selection of our legends together in such a significant location is a real privilege. It'll be a trip back in time and an experience that only Jaguar Land Rover's incredible heritage can offer."
