The countdown is on for the 2023 VolksWorld Show, which takes place at Sandown Park Racecourse, Surrey, over the weekend of March 18-19 – and is set to be the highlight of the year for classic Volkswagen fans. Described as Europe’s premier air-cooled VW event, it will bring together hundreds of show-quality cars, as well as club stands, traders and a whole floor of swap-meet tables.
With live music and other entertainment throughout the show, plus on-site camping facilities, it’s the ideal opportunity to make a weekend of it and soak up the atmosphere.
The VolksWorld Show is renowned for attracting the very best air-cooled VWs, and this year’s judges are likely to face a harder task than ever. The show will also feature the Outlaw Flat 4 racers, Swedish engine builder and drag racer Johannes Persson of JP Motorsport fame, the legendary A/MC Beetle racer, plus a gathering of some of the finest 356, 911, 912 and 914 Porsche models.
Tickets are available on the gate at £22 per day or £40 for the whole weekend, though you can save money by buying them in advance at £17 and £27 respectively. A camping add-on costs £20, and there’s free entry for children aged 14 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
