1977 Jaguar XJ Transformed With Stunning New Interior
Rare luxury coupe could be the best example in existence.

Over the years we've seen Carlex Design upgrade the interior of an eclectic mix of cars, ranging from a Mercedes G500 4x4 Squared to a Ferrari F12, but this 1977 Jaguar XJ must be the oldest car to pass through its Polish studio. It's also one of the most sought-after Jags ever made, especially in coupe guise. In fact, just over 10,000 models were made so seeing one on the road is a rarity, especially one as beautiful as this. After a painstaking restoration, the iconic luxury car looks like it just left the factory.

The exterior has been stunningly restored with a new red ruby paint job, and chromium-plated handles, door sills and alloy wheels. But it's the interior where Carlex really shines. Here the luxury British limo's cabin has been reupholstered in black leather, along with an Alcantara headliner with classic seams on the seats and bench. The styling specialist also focused on the finer details. The dashboard and handle frames have been decorated with exotic wood, and the gear shift handle was crafted from black oak. Leaving nothing untouched, Carlex also restored the gauges, Jaguar symbol, air inlets and button surrounds, plating them with silver flakes before applying a patina finish.

There's no info on what's under the hood, but we'd like to think it has the 5.3-liter V12 and not the 4.2-liter inline-six. There's also no mention how much the restoration cost the owner, but the end result looks spectacular and we're sure he must love waking up to his car every day.
