The countdown is on for the 2022 VolksWorld Show, which takes place at Sandown Park Racecourse, Surrey, over the weekend of March 19-20 – and is set to be the highlight of the year for classic Volkswagen fans. Described as Europe’s premier air-cooled VW event, with water-cooled Transporters also represented, it will bring together hundreds of show-quality cars, as well as club stands, traders and a whole floor of swap-meet tables.
With live music and other entertainment throughout the show, plus on-site camping facilities, it’s the ideal opportunity to make a weekend of it and soak up the atmosphere. It’s very much a family event too, with plenty to keep the young ones entertained in the KidsZone.
The VolksWorld Show is renowned for attracting the very best air-cooled VWs, and this year’s judges are likely to face a harder task than ever choosing the final selection. Other special displays will feature collections of Karmann-Ghias, Cal-Look cars and just about every other variation on the air-cooled theme.
Tickets are available on the gate at £20 per day or £30 for the whole weekend, though you can save money by buying them in advance at £16 and £24 respectively. A camping add-on costs £16, and there’s free entry for children aged 14 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
If you previously purchased tickets for the postponed 2020 and 2021 events, these have automatically been transferred to this year’s show.
