Ford Escort Mk1 2 Door . Very Solid original shell just imported from South Africa. All tax and duty paid and UK reg applied forBodywork.Standard spec shell with original inner wings, sills, arches, floors, door posts. Only appears to have had a small repair in the spare wheel wheel otherwise very original underneath. good doors, boot and bonnet. Good panel gaps. Doors sit well in the shell and dont protrude. Paintwork is tidy enough. not a concours car but perfectly presentable and nice and straight.Mechanics.Good 1. 3 crossflow which runs well. Good gearbox and clutch. Brakes pull a little to the left so this will require investigation. Engine starts no problem but needs warmed up as no choke flaps in carb. Car drives quite well and looks to have had a bit money spent underneath. New rear shocks, lowering blocks fitted, new bushes. Was used regularly in South Africa and attended quite a few car showsInterior.Original two dial dash. Retrimmed seats which are tidy. Someone has previously had speakers cut in the doors. Good dashtop, headlining. Aftermarket multi piece carpet fittedWheels.Deep dish early steels with chrome hubcaps and good tyres.Very tidy original shell which is not full of filler. we have been over it with the magnet You are welcome to come and see the car and we have a ramp so you can look underneath.
