Escort mk1 RS2000 genuine AVO TYPE-49
For sale a fantastic genuine RS2000 mk1 restored in its original colour Daytona yellow ,these cars are becoming a rare sight and are nearly impossible to find unmodified and in this head turning condition .
Only sensible non-cosmetic modifications have taken place,including powder coating of some engine parts the drive shaft ,rear axle ,front and rear suspension etc...
also a poly bush kit has been fitted and the car now feels firm and planted on the road and drives like new,definitely doesn't feel like a 40 year old car!
The car has a(unleaded)stock matching numbers Pinto 2.0 engine and dual carb mated to a four speed gear box which were all standard for the rs2000. Also the braking system is standard and is easily good enough for modern driving.
Fitted with original cibie spot and fog lights fitted to rs brackets.
The interior has the correct rs roll top seats recovered in the original pattern fabric .the original rs2000 center consol is only in place for show and as such the radio and clock are not yet wired in ,mostly because I didn't want to cut a hole for the Ariel ,so I will leave this Upto the next owner ,the consol can be easily removed if so wished .
The car is road tax exempt and will be supplied with a years MOT.
Unfortunately my insurance will not honour the agreed value if someone else is driving,so no test drives, but I will be happy to take a serious buyer out for a spin providing its a dry day.

It really is a superb looking rare car and turns heads everywhere it goes,this car deserves to be in the right hands and kept in its original state.
