Here is a pretty RARE car. It looks like a Torino but it is not. It is a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback. This car was ordered with a 289 engine and 3 speed column shift. The engine runs great and transmission shifts great. The clutch feels good with no chattering when taking off. It has the original paint with great Patina and has had clear coat sprayed over it to give it a shine. Very solid and straight body. Both doors shut good. All the glass is good and the windows roll up and do good. The interior is also original and looks good. There is a small tear on the drivers side sitting area but not bad. The door panels, headliner and carpet all looks good as does the dash. The gas gauge and speedometer both work. It still has the original AM radio in it but it does not seem to work. It may not be hooked up to any speakers. The wipers and horn works as does the emergency brake. It has new hood insulation. The trunk and floor pans are solid. There is a matching spare in the trunk. It has good Firestone tires with the factory Ford wheels. All the lights work including the interior dome light. This car has no power steering or power brakes but it drives and stops very good. I was told that the mileage showing is actual miles but I have no proof of this. The brake pedal is not worn so could be actual miles. This is a good car that you will not see many like it being a Fairlane 500.
