1965 (1964 1/2) MUSTANG 'D' CODE CONVERTIBLE, in top Driven Show restored condition, just gorgeous Rangoon Red with an exceptional rare early body, extremely valuable numbers are shown in this report, all of these facts add investment valuable to this rare 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible, also has a very rare ‘Pony’ hood ornament, this could be a very, very rare early pre-production car (SEE THE DATA TAG INFORMATION), this is presented in restored condition today with the fantastic, original great detailed underchassis with proper numbers, note that we are posting these very rare Ford body stampings of C2 and C3 that confirm how very rare and very early this car is, this has a Holman and Moody built, rare early V8 that is fresh, the castings show (SEE THE ENGINE SPECS) that this is a 221cid casting stamp, early dated heads, 4v 4100 Autolite carburetor, dual exhaust system, very strong compression, engine sound is great, has C4 stamped 4-speed transmission, correct shifter with lockout, full factory console, really a marvelous fresh Rangoon Red, base coat/clearcoat paint with terrific luster, straight sides, the lower stainless rockers added during the restoration, great effort is made on mechanicals with the final work in the Fraser Dante shop, black bucket interior with 4 safety belts, the current presentation that makes this a really exceptional top, top Driven MCA quality Show car, proper rear end, the fresh brakes just checked by Fraser Dante, the suspension outstanding, 1965 styled steel wheels, new radial whitewall tires, the rare early production restored convertible now yields an outstanding look of this Mustang with just top, top driven show condition, since this has the original Data Tag, that is the only way to find out the history, the last owner told this writer that his friend who owned the car for about 16 years was not in good health to be able to speak about the car…see the 1964 World’s Fair photo and Dan Gurney doing a test of this early model, this is really a top quality Mustang convertible, for someone who understands how special and outstanding this 1964 ½ convertible is, prepared for Fall 2019, see www.fraserdante.com for further information and full inventory
