Introduced in 1955, the 190 SL was conceived as a more accessible companion to the legendary 300 SL, sharing much of its visual DNA while offering a more relaxed and approachable character. Its long bonnet, delicate chrome detailing, upright grille and beautifully proportioned roadster body have ensured its place as one of Mercedes-Benz's most recognisable and desirable classics.At its heart is Mercedes-Benz's 1. 9-litre four-cylinder engine, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Rather than being about outright speed, the 190 SL is about the enjoyment of driving.
