Комментарии продавца про 1973' Porsche 914

I thought this was a keeper, but have just had my first baby so this will have to go in the end... would also consider a swap for a very good 924

There are a few 914s around. Many have been very well restored. This one is different. Original paint, no rust. I mean this: the hell hole is solid and covered in rustproofer, and I painted the original battery tray this year myself: it had a little surface rust. If you know about 914s you will know how unusual this is: the paintwork is amazing and reassuring. My mechanic said 'I can't work out if this car has been really well restored, or is in amazing condition'. The answer is the latter. Original engine with no oil leaks (this is exceptional but true: my garage floor is clean...). Porsche letter of authenticity confirming original colour and matching numbers of chassis and engine.

I will quote the advert from Auto Atlanta for this car in 2016. Since then it went to a serious collector in Germany (who bought a 914-6 so let this one go) and from there to me (and kept in a warm garage ever since). I have had the gearbox rebuilt (we are just running it in) and engine and injectors thoroughly serviced, new trigger points & MPS (original D jet in excellent condition), new shocks, very nice waxoyl (the pictures of the underneath are from before this), full UK spec conversion, MOT July 2018, AFR meter fitted (the single easiest way to tune the fuel delivery). Side shift gearbox (this is important). Non-california 1.7 engine.

There is a small crack in the windscreen... that's it. The steering wheel has been changed to give more space for the driver but I have the original. And some bilstein shocks if you prefer a firmer ride (currently on Boges). I also have some good condition silver bumpers I would be happy to include (and are easy to fit) but I found I liked the original black ones, and the black badge / sail trim.

It is very easy to buy a 914 that gradually reveals its hidden rust (and even californian cars are virtually never without serious rust after 45 years: see several threads on 914world documenting just that...). This one has always been garaged. Mint 4 cylinder 914s have been going for 60-70k$ in the USA so I think the price is fair, but happy to discuss... And any inspection is fine, and encouraged: only by looking at the underneath and seams in this car will you appreciate its condition. Mileage is probably 85k but we don't have the documents to be sure.

From the ad: "02/16: For Sale on eBay at Auto Atlanta...

"1973 Porsche 914 1.7 non appearance group collector quality. This is the car for the serious collector. One owner 98% of the original paint, the interior so perfect that it looks like no one ever used the carpets, original tool kit, jack, keys, owners manual, window sticker, and HO campaign letter, this one owner car is so clean underneath that one could put their tongue to the bottom of the floor pan. After sitting for over nine years in the original owners dehumidified garage in Mississippi, we did an extensive servicing to this car, drove it to the 914 convention in North Carolina and won a prize for originality. You will not be disappointed in this one. Great opening bid on this collector quality car"
