The beautiful yawl "Evening Star" was built in 1937 for Frederick Ford of Detroit at Bristol, Rhode Island.
This top quality yacht was built using only the finest materials and hardware, and proven traditional techniques.
Her restoration began in 2011, and most of the work has been completed (see listing for more details). The transom was replaced and the entire deck frame and deck as well. The hull remains in excellent original condition. All of the hardware and interior trim was carefully removed and stored for re-installation.
Currently installing the teak deck and all topside hardware including spars and booms, combing, winches, traveler for main sheet, coffee grinder, anchor windlass,bow pulpit, running backs, etc. Cabin sole frame and new partial flooring along with interior work and new fuel tanks.
