Aston Martin will play a pivotal role in the upcoming James Bond film, 'No Time to Die.' After the DB10 made its debut in the 2015 Bond film 'Spectre,' the Valhalla hypercar will make its on-screen debut in the new Bond movie. Joining it will be the iconic DB5 and a classic V8 Vantage, which was last seen in 'The Living Daylights' back in 1987 starring Timothy Dalton. Leaked photos also confirmed the 2020 Land Rover Defender will appear in the spy film.
Last month, behind the scenes footage emerged showing the DB5 being filmed during an action scene for No Time to Die. Now, more dramatic footage has appeared online revealing that the DB5 will be used in an epic car chase scene.
In the video, we get to see the Aston Martin DB5 being chased by some sinister-looking Jaguar XFs and a motorcycle through the cobbled streets of Matera in Italy.
There's some great stunt driving on display, as the DB5 drifts around tight corners to evade its pursuers and avoids bystanders running out of the way. The streets have also been left covered in tire marks from the multiple takes, but these will most likely be digitally removed in post-production.
Don't expect the DB5 to stay in pristine condition in the scene, however, as a previous video showed it being filmed with damaged body panels. Q no doubt won't be happy, but don't despair because the car is likely a replica. This will also be the first time the Aston Martin DB5 has been featured in a James Bond movie car chase since 'Goldeneye' in 1995 when it dueled with a Ferrari F355. Since then, the DB5 has made brief appearances in 'Casino Royale,' 'Skyfall,' and 'Spectre.'
Starring Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, and Rami Malek, No Time to Die will hit US cinemas on April 8, 2020. Let's hope a trailer is released soon to give us a look at the glorious car action.
