1963' AEC

A very rare open-top conversion of the iconic routemaster london double-decker bus

comes with a full 12 months class 6 mot.

rm1783 (783 dye) was built in 1963 and converted top open top by london transport in 1984. after a brief spell in liverpool the bus returned to the capital and was part of the original london sightseeing tour fleet until 1998. after this the bus was sold to the bath bus company and then western greyhound.

we have owned the bus since 2014 where it has been used for private hire work and sightseeing tours. The bus has been maintained to a very high standard and is still fitted with an original aec engine, gearbox and interior.

a reluctant sale as we are no longer doing the sightseeing tours.

ideally this bus needs to go to a london operator as we get plenty of enquiries for this bus from the london area, unfortunately we are too far from the capital to service these potential clients. Happy to pass on any future enquiries to the new owner providing they are a licensed operator.

any viewing and inspection welcome by prior appointment, we have lifts in our workshop so any potential buyer is welcome to look under the bus.
