For Sale. Probably the best known H in the UK. After 28 years with us it is time for new adventures, both for us and the H. Originally a Currus minibus this is a 1972 HY78 which we have converted to a camper, with heater, caravanstore canopy, fridge, cooker, sink, even space for a portaloo! it has a leisure battery, radio you can hear thanks to insulation and much else. Two berth, comfy BX seats. Mechanically great-engine rebuilt with high compression pistons, electronic ignition on a new dizzy, rebuilt gearbox, starter, alternator, recored radiator and all the brakes renewed, even the front drums! Cruises at sensible speed, 85-95 kph. Good Michelin 19R400 tyres. Has a click 'n go electric clutch, go left foot free or use the original clutch if you wish (that cost £1250 alone). Bodywork restored and painted 1997, some minor cosmetics showing but we have used it - not a lot but most years. Will have full MoT on sale. Tow bar fitted. Comes with some spares, further spares by negotiation. Located in Gloucestershire. Would obviously make a catering truck with sliding side windows but there are precious few campers around and it would be nice to see it used as such.
