Regrettably I am selling my 1959 A40 Farina Mk1 due to lack of space and time.
The car has a good shell, no rust, but not concourse. It's not without the odd marks etc, It's a very usabe classic without needing to worry about it too much. The underside has been wax oiled and the paintwork coated in wax for protection from the weather, however in my ownership the car has been stored in a heated workshop and barely used in the rain/ winter.
When I bought the car in 2018 I overhauled the brakes, new shoes/ cylinders etc and went through all the suspension, replacing all bushes where necessary. The springs are spares from a racing A40 which I also own, it's a firm ride but handles nicely.
The wheels are the originals, professionally widened and have had the offset modified to fit the Avon CR6zz Tyres.
Interior is all original trim apart from the steering wheel (I have the original) and a subtly fitted bluetooth stereo which you cannot see. The driver's seat has a small tear.
I made steel panels to replace the rear windows to make the car look like a van. I'll put the windows and chrome frames back in, unless a new owner wants to do a deal for the panels.
The engine and gearbox is standard mk1 948cc. Starts and runs well.
The car has some parts included, including original jack, starting handle and spare wheel.
Viewing welcome, I keep the car at work in Burton-onTrent
