Seller's comments about 1931' Austin Austin 7 Af Tourer
Introduced in mid-1930, the AF Series was the last of the Austin 7 Tourers to use the 'Chummy' style body with small doors and aluminium coachwork. Production of this series ran until the introduction of the steel bodied model, (type AG) in November 1931.
This car is beautifully finished in Red/Black, and is without doubt, one of the finest of its type having been restored to an exceptional standard - it is presented in Show condition.
A substantial amount of history is supplied and the car retains its original Devon registration. Paperwork includes the correct handbook and spare parts list. In 2016 the gearbox was totally rebuilt and this included uprated 'Andes' 2nd gear, allowing it to storm up mountain passes!
A delight to drive and this charming little Austin attracts admiring glances everywhere it goes. It has excellent weather equipment including a hood bag and the lighting has been upgraded with LED headlamps and flashing indicators. There is also a takeoff point for SATNAV and mobile phone charging.
