-Rare RHD Cooper De-Luxe Model
-Invoices Totaling Circa £15, 000
-Bare Metal Re-Spray (Photos)
-Featured In John Stonehouse Drama 2023 ITV
Introduced in 1959, the Austin Mini soon became an icon of 1960s British popular culture. The example shown here, a 1966 Austin Mini Cooper with the 998cc engine, was a later vehicle manufactured towards the end of the run in April 1966 for the UK market. The car was specified in the de-luxe trim to include a factory heater. This stunning Austin Mini Cooper De-Lux was built on 13th April 1966. Dispatch on 14th April to Lathams Limited of Leicester. She is a RHD home market De-Luxe Cooper finished in Fiesta yellow with a White roof. This is not the original colour, however the previous owner loved the colour combination and decided on a colour change. Over the last 4 year or so she has had circa £15, 000 spent in maintenance and restoration costs, this is shown in the car’s history file. A Photographic portfolio shows pictures of it's bare metal respray taken back to the shell. Also an engine rebuild was carried out; this is shown in the car’s history file too. The history file also includes various old Mot’s, invoices, photos, old adverts and heritage certificate. This Cooper has a stunning interior, reclining seats, Moto Lita steering wheel, new headlining, Inertia period seat belts and brand new Newton front seat covers included (not fitted, come in the box). The car has just had a fresh service, oil change etc. This Cooper De-luxe is a fantastic example, loads of money spend on it and in excellent condition. She presents extremely well and would be a great edition to any collection. This De-luxe mini is featuring in a period drama called "Stonehouse". Starring Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes. The drama follows the life of John Stonehouse, a member of Harold Wilson's government. Airs on ITV Monday 2nd of January 2023. Compared to other De-luxe's on the market this stacks up very well and is keenly priced.
