Here is an excellent example of a Beautiful and rare, 1953 Bentley R-Type 4 door saloon. This car has just been released from a Private car collection where the last owner was the custodian for 32 years, since 1991. This car has a good history file with the car and has had a recent expenditure of nearly £5k spent on its service, Carb change and setup, battery, spark plugs, all done by Thruxton jaguar in sep 2023. This car has an MOT till 1/ 9/ 24 with no advisories. This car had a full restoration and rebuild which included; engine, gearbox, paintwork back in 1988.
This Bentley is mechanically superb and drives fabulously. The paintwork is in good condition for the year of the car but does has a light haze especially on the roof and wings. The the light blue paint has a few light streaks but apart from that, the car presents extremely well and overall is fabulous. Driving this car is a joy and it drives spot on! The engine is strong with good oil pressure and pulls very well. The gearbox is smooth with no noises. The last owner maintained the car without no expense spared always on time annually.
