Seller's comments about 1957' BMW 507

- "Matching-Number" - Mille-Miglia capable - Extensively documented - Only approx. 42, 000 km - Unique collector's item with history Description: A total of 252 BMW 507s were produced from 1956 to 1959. BMW presented the Type 507 at the 1955 IAA. With a price of almost DM 30, 000, the car was almost as expensive as a Mercedes 300 SL, which was only offered as a roadster from 1957. This meant that it was only affordable for extremely well-heeled customers, which also led to an extremely low production figure of just 252 vehicles. The body was designed by industrial designer Albrecht Graf Goertz. The body was made of aluminium. Today, the 507 is considered a design icon and is a highly sought-after collector's item. For sale is an exceptionally well-preserved BMW 507 project with a largely untouched body substance. According to available documents, the car was produced in 1957 and delivered in Venezuela in 1958. In the early 80s, the car arrived in Miami. At the end of the 80s, Jose C. Harth acquired the car and brought it back to Venezuela, where it became part of his outstanding collection. This is a unique opportunity to complete an absolutely exceptional vehicle, which is also Mille-Miglia eligible due to its early year of construction.
