Super buick very imposing ,Rare coupe most desirable body.car was subject to top restoration approx 15 years ago.the 38 was a much much better car than the similar 37 has better straight 8 engine one of only 200 coupes fitted with the dynaflash straight 8,X frame chassis,independent coil spring suspension.38s are easily the most desired with buick collectors.cars without the spare wheel sidemounts are much more common.
Interior is immaculate and retrimmed to exact original condition with correct material at huge expense.all new rubbers etc door seals etc all round.correct woodgrain applied to dash etc.brand new running boards and beautiful recast steering wheel.a complete new period wiring harness has been fitted.new glass channels and runners,quarterlight rubbers etc etc.car is manual 3 speed floor change.
Opera coupe has 2 drop down seats .I have a huge folder of bills etc which come with car.
All chrome and stainless trim superb.
Paint is super shiny but has micro blisters and few marks here and there.but every single panel is as straight as straight gets.perfect panel fit,no door drop etc.from 10 paces she looks immaculate. Could easily leave paint as is.
Has 6 white walls. rare for coupe to have twin sidemounts for spare wheels. Also has buick heater and original factory fitted radio.
She is totally stock still on 6 volt.starts great and runs like a sewing machine.has discreet indicators fitted.
Although..... car requires light recommissioning .brakes need going through as sat for two years.all parts off the shelf at bobsautomobilia usa.
This is a rare desirable 38 coupe that needs a few weekends tinkering to be sorted.due to family commitments I'm down sizing my old motors.
