Seller's comments about 1957' Chevrolet Bel Air

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop coupe is one of the most sought-after icons today. And the one youve discovered here has a terrific cruiser style, and were not just talking about the cool color combo. Because while this has a period-correct V8, this now has a dual-quad setup just like the best boulevard kings had back in the day. The white paint is a timeless color, and that perfectly fits with the timeless appeal of a 57 Bel Air. Its part of the cars update later in life, and so theres good gloss and shine to give this respect at the stoplights. And you can really tell the overall level of respect it has received along the way by the details, like the way the panels line up nicely. And of course, theres the brightwork that shows off the best icons of the time. The fan inserts accentuate the tailfins; the trim that highlights the pillarless hardtop profile; and the 1957 car has the exclusive grille and bumper combo. There are great classic details, too, like the factory-style wheel covers, whitewall tires, and correct gold emblems for the premium Bel Air. So as you look over the whole car you get the right feeling of one that you can drive on a whim any day to turn heads, and with just some extra love, theres a tone of big car show potential. The red and black interior provides two distinct colors against the exterior while, and so it makes for an inviting presence. And the level of quality is a great reason to leave all the windows down on this pillarless hardtop. The first impression of the interior is a coupe that was nicely restored to stock. The seats look correct, right down to the cloth inserts, silver piping, and button-top presentation. But this classic style has the feeling of a fresh investment, and the door panels are done to match. Plus, the black carpeting, red headliner, and smooth red dash complete this well-coordinated and high-quality presentation. From the drivers seat, it looks nicely detailed with everything from the factory AM radio thats still there for display, to the artful steering wheel with intricate trim. Its a classic coupe thats ready to cruise. The tag tells us this was born a VC-code Bel Air, and so its great to have the right 283 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. In fact, the casting date on the block is even in line with the cars production date. But the history youll love the most is whats on top of the block. A few people knew that there was a dual set of four-barrel carburetors as an option. It was put on the same pedestal as the fuel-injected cars for ferociousness, and the dual-quad setup made it easier to tune. So this has the look of what the boulevard kings had back in the day. The three-speed manual transmission even gives you full control of the V8 while also providing the vintage column-shift feeling. This is the iconic Chevy that was built to be a true street machine classic. That makes it fun to drive and fun to show. Call today!!!
