For sale is this "frame off" restored street rod, a Chevrolet 1940 Business Coupe Deluxe. This KA model (top of the range with better equipment and recognizable by the additional moldings and an alligator hood) is equipped with a stroked 350 cui V8 engine (5.7 L/ 5,735 cc / 275 hp) and a TH350 Turbo automatic transmission.
Even the specially put together "Beerbottle Candy" color mixture reveals that this is an unusual project. Screaming paintwork, high-quality white leather interior in "Diamond Tuck" style, sun visor/sunshade, blue lighting in the interior and engine compartment including V8 roar... here the eyes follow you when the wedge-shaped rod turns the corner (or the rear) comes.
Bought in Georgia in 2014, stopping power is provided by front disc brakes and Mustang II axles front and rear. After being imported to Germany, it underwent a 1,500-hour restoration. This value even exceeded the new price at the time, which was USD 1,250 for this Chevy. We would like to briefly mention that this is a European restoration in top condition.
