For sale is a well-preserved Chevrolet Corvette C2 Sting Ray Convertible, built in 1964, equipped with a powerful 5.7 liter V8 engine (350 cid) and a 4-speed manual transmission. The car offers around 225 hp of pure driving fun - accompanied by the unmistakable V8 sound that makes every start an experience. This example was refined with components from Hurst (shifter), Holley (intake manifold) and Edelbrock (carburettor).The Corvette C2, referred to internally as the second generation, was produced from 1963 to 1967 and is now considered one of the most iconic sports car lines in American automotive history. The design of the "Sting Ray" - with its sharp lines and emphatically sporty silhouette - revolutionized the Corvette image and made it a serious competitor to European sports cars. The 1964 version in particular represents the transition from pure design icon to active driving sports car: improved suspension tuning, more direct steering and a stiffer chassis ensured more precise, controlled driving behavior.
