Seller's comments about 1972' Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Serious performance and grand touring luxury were the hallmarks of the best Chevrolet Monte Carlos. And this classic 1972 example only amplifies those attitudes with everything from a big block performance V8, to a loaded and comfy custom interior. This coupe is a mean machine, and so you want a paint that lets everyone know that. Thats why we love this level of black. It has the kind of slick shine thats really going to get it noticed at the stoplights. But the finish isnt so perfect that youll get nervous about having some fun in-between those stoplights. After all, this is a drivers classic, and as you dig into all the features, this coupe proves it has been given all the right investment for that. As a true American cruiser, theres a ton of brightwork to make it stand out. You have a good polish on areas like the wide chrome bumpers and full rocker trim. Plus, theres an upgraded attitude with the SS badging, crystal clear headlights, and that awesome stance of 20-inch wheels. More of the performance and luxury duo continues inside, and youll instantly notice its all part of a modern upgrade. The upholstery keeps the same mean black attitude as the exterior, but its now done in a more comfortable cloth. And theres even a cool MC embroidery in the headrests for this Monte Carlo. Your seat is particularly comfortable because the front gets a pair of well-bolstered buckets, and the drivers one power adjusts. In fact, its set up for a full drivers package with an armrest center console, upgraded sports steering wheel, power steering, B&M shifter, and a carbon fiber-style dash filled with bright AutoMeter readouts. There are great features you want on a cool cruiser, like an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo, power locks, seat heaters, and provisions for air conditioning (the compressor is there, but it will need more components and servicing to function.) And our favorite feature of them all is the power windows. It means you can roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop without ever leaving the drivers seat. The moment you open the hood, you instantly realize that this Monte Carlo earns all of its aggressive upgrades. Sure, a few lucky ones had the big 454 V8 in 72, but even those werent as big as this. Within the dark and tidy engine bay, youll see a 502 cubic-inch motor that just radiates with quality and power. It has been built correctly, including a Holley four-barrel carburetor, polished intake, and Hooker long tube headers that feed a growling H-pipe dual exhaust. Not only is this a big power machine, but it also has all the right supporting components, including an MSD digital ignition, March pulleys, steel-braided hoses, AN fittings, and a large aluminum radiator w/electric fan. Plus, the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to get all this muscle to the pavement as it feeds the 12-bolt rear end. And with upgrades like Wilwood power front disc brakes, rear air shocks, a rear sway bar, and modern/grippy ZR-rated tires, this coupe knows how to handle its power. You can tell there has been a ton of time, thought, and money invested in restoring this unique Chevy. So when you can get your hands on a classic thats equal parts vintage luxury and muscle car, you know you have to hurry on something this special. Call today!!!
