1969 Daimler 250V8 SaloonVin Number: P1K5179BWRegistration Number: PLJ527G70, 000 warranted miles from new & in simply lovely condition; this car was purchased from JD classics for £32k prior to them closing & has numeous upgrades from them. They undertook a 4 year restoration on the car in 2010. Masses of invoices from them come with the car.This excellent low mileage example is traditionally finished in Sable Brown with original tan hide upholstery. It has desirable factory-fitted power steering, and many modern upgrades, including high ratio back axle for relaxed cruising, four pot Cooper-craft front callipers, uprated rear pistons, and uprated servo, gas-adjustable dampers and front suspension poly bushes. Lots of the exterior chrome has been replated yet the interior has been preserved & is in excellent condition.It has an extensive history file showing five owners with comprehensive 'day one' service history and old MOTs to support the mileage, all original handbooks, service book, buff log book and original tools.The original radio has been upgraded and fitted with an electric aerial. The file shows it had a major restoration in the 1990s by JD Classics, which would explain its wonderful overall condition. In recent years, it has been maintained by renowned Daimler Specialist Robert Grinter.The last owner bought it in 2022 for a reported £30, 000. A very good example which drives beautifully with a wonderful V8 burble engine note, which can easily keep up with modern traffic and ideal for long-distance touring. You really have to drive this car to appreciate how good it is. The engine starts instantly on the first turn of the starter & settles down to a lovely V8 Burble. The power steering is finger tip light whilst being accurate & precise. Ample power comes from the V8 fed though an automatic gear box that kicks down easily when requested to do so. The handling is really really good being both sharp & precise & with a very modern feel to it.It compares very well to & is my opinion superior to the equivalent Mark 2 Jaguar version.Call Richard Biddulph.
