Seller's comments about 1928' Essex Super Six 5 Seater Phaeton
This car has been fully restored. It was shipped new as a running chassis from Detroit to Dalgety and Company in Sydney Australia, it still has their logo badge on the dash, very rare. The body was built by Smith and Waddington in Australia. It was imported to the UK in December 1980. Reupholstered in burgundy leather. Folding hood with a full set of sidescreens. the engine is not original, but is number 423315 a 2298 cc engine 6 cylinder from a 1926 model. The car uses no oil and has no oil or coolant leaks. All the instruments work, (including the fuel gauge).Fitted with an electric fuel pump, the car starts easily and runs well. Reason for sale we are downsizing our home
