History:The Fiat Topolino, produced in three series from 1936 to 1955 in about 516, 646 units, inspired all of Europe. The engine of the early four-cylinder unit of 569 cc delivered only 13 hp, yet the tiny car could be seen across Europe, bearing plates from distant lands. The great-grandfather of the Goodtimer founder was the first to bring the Topolino to Switzerland, and drove many Topolinos over the San Bernardino pass. This Topolino from the sought-after C series belongs to Goodtimer's workshop foreman. He has kept his Topolino as authentic as possible with expert care, without restoring it.Body and Paint:The bodyshell is completely rust-free. The paint shows patina and signs of wear in places, which is why it does not carry veteran status.Interior:The interior has been partially renewed and the seats reupholstered. The instruments have been overhauled and are original, as is the steering wheel and pedals.Engine and Technik:All mechanical components work flawlessly and the car has been serviced. The cost of a fresh MOT (TÜV) is modest. A service log documents the work done over the past three years.Suspension:Suspension, underbody and drivetrain are in very good condition and well cared for.Driving Experience:Braking hard up a mountain road, space for four passengers and a smile on everyone's face – that's how the Topolino's driving experience describes itself. With a top speed of nearly 100 km/ h it's suitable for motorway driving, but Goodtimer believes a Topolino doesn't belong there.Recommendation:This model ranks among the original, authentic examples that never needed a full restoration, always kept in perfect condition for use.WARNING: The stated asking price in pounds is for guidance only.
