This was imported from South Africa and is now UK registered with period correct issued registration number, this vehicle is a late model being a 1979 with only 63008 km/ 39151 mls on the clock

Mechanics
1600 crossflow engine with auto box starts and runs ok, although we have only tested this around our yard it drives absolutely fine and being an Auto means it has the bigger gearbox tunnel so ideal for type 9, 5 speed conversion if desired. As with all our imports we recommend going over the car and just double checking the usual stuff brakes etc, as the vehicle is approaching 45+ years old.
Bodywork/ Exterior
bodywork is good but consistant with use/ age has a few marks as expected, there is few paint bubbles on rear door drivers side, slight dent to rear panel
as with almost all escorts the rear wheel well needs repairing
Engine bay is in good condition, solid inner wings, wing rails, still retains its original heater bowl cover.
Pillars, arches, sills are fine, chassis etc all good
Interior
front & rear seats are in goodish condition but have wear consistant with use.
Front floor carpet is worn both sides.
Door cards all good, no speaker holes.
Headlining is good with no rips or damage.
Dash top has a crack.
Overall its a genuine car but not full of filler and a good basis to start with. Obviously need a few things doing but this is a 40yr old vehicle but could be ready to go on the road fairly quickly and at a very reasonable price
