Nicknamed the ‘Bay Window’, the newcomer incorporated a revised half-shaft driveline to the rear which not only facilitated an increase in ride height but also improved handling. The T2’s lengthened wheelbase was welcomed by motor caravan builders if only because the increased interior space it yielded made conversion and customisation easier.‘Tango’ is a left-hand drive ex-German Disaster Force camper van powered by a 2-litre engine breathing through Solex carburettors. Slightly lowered, it rides on ‘gas burner’ alloy wheels and retains a siren and blue light on the roof (not tested). Fitted with a roller bed, it is said to easily seat 5 people when camping and has attended numerous festivals in the UK. Offered with much history from its time in Germany together with sundry items from its UK ownership, we understand it would benefit from some service work including carburettor adjustment and attention to the brakes etc. ** Bidding will take place live at the venue, online via our H&H website, by telephone and commission - T&Cs apply**Entry by catalogue and can be purchased for £20 (admits 2 people)
