Body: Coupe
Exterior color: Blue

1930 model A 5 window.

This beauty was imported in 2012 from the usa. The guy had the car for 30 years and spent 7 years building it into the hot rod you see here. Not to be confused with a lot of badly built amateur hot rods that come in from the states. This one has had a lot of attention to detail. Here is the spec:

All steel original stock height body & chassis (boxed) with no rust repairs ever – barn find in up-state new york. Probably one of the best a coupe bodies in the uk.

Guide headlamps and 1932 grille

1949 8ba ford flathead engine rebuilt 5,000 miles ago. Bored +030 with aluminium timing gear and alternator conversion. Remote oil filter.

Truck oil pan & water pumps, walker cobra radiator with catch tank and 6 blade fan. Never overheats with no electric fan!

Holley 2100 carb

Pertronix electronic ign and flamethrower coil

T5 4 speed s10 transmission with overdrive 5th on truck bell housing, via cornhusker adaptor kit

Chevy vega steering box & pitman arm with flaming river steering u joints & limeworks column

Superbell 46” dropped i beam front axle with posies reverse eye transverse spring. Adjustable spring perches, so-cal steering damper, pete & jakes 4 bar, panhard rod. Ford f1 truck front brakes

Pete & Jakes shocks front and rear, with adjustable mounts.

Narrowed 9” bronco rear axle with ‘strange’ halfshafts by andy robinson race cars (with receipt) , 3.50:1 with bronco brakes, posies ladder bars, panhard rod and stock model a transverse spring.

Dual exhaust

16 gallon custom made fuel tank & battery in the carpeted trunk

Colour scheme: Chrysler patriot pearlized blue metallic, with red pinstriping. Looks great sparkling in the sun, but also looks traditional from a distance as the metallic is not "in your face"

Firestone whitewalls 6.70 x15” front and 8.20 x 15” rear

Red roll pleated interior using original bench seat (adjustable) with model b dash and ford motorcraft instruments – all working accurately. Fitted with good heater, painless wiring kit, 64 mustang light switch, 1939 ford banjo steering wheel. Electric wiper conversion. All the locks work and windows wind down fine. She raced at pendine sands (over 250 miles) with the previous owner and drove amazingly. Totally reliable and so well built.

Faults? well, it has picked up a few small scratches and the underside has got a bit grubby with use, but it is not a trailer queen.

No time wasters please and no test pilots. :-)
she gets a lot of attention wherever i go. she has not been chopped and gets lots of lovely comments on her stance.

Don't really want to sell her but we need the space.
