Seller's comments about 1928' Ford Model A Van
This 10 cwt delivery van is a Ford Model A built at Trafford Park Manchester on the 8th February 1928.
Sold originally to the Earl of Guilford for use on his estate at Sandwich Bay, Kent in 1929 it was within a period of approximately 2 years traded in for a larger type. The subsequent owner was a paraffin and household hardware dealer who used the vehicle for door to door deliveries in the south Canterbury area. The vehicle saw continuous service until 1956 when it was laid up.
Subsequently, it was licensed in 1958 for 3 months but in the event not used.
The present owner Mr David J Hart purchased the vehicle in 1965 and it was used in Vintage Vehicle Rallies in 1966. I have both new and old style log books various period photos through the years, 24.9 h.p side valve engine, right hand drive, original Registration number, been in my ownership since 2003 Reluctant Sale
