Seller's comments about 1972' Jeep CJ-5
1972 Jeep CJ5 is a restomod for those who really enjoy a proper 4x4. It has a fuel-injected motor, PTO winch, proper crawler four-speed, and a rugged yet clean style. The paint sets the right tone for the whole Jeep. Green makes us think of military machines and 4x4s that want to blend with nature, but theres also a nice metallic radiance from a modern respray that gives this one an added presence. We like the rugged upgrades done in black, like the big steel front bumper, rear bumper with a trailer hitch, Renegade-style fender flares, and blackout Pacer wheels. The sale even comes with a full convertible top and doors done in a coordinating black. Overall, it has an attractive but serious style, and when you have a winch that gets its power from the gearbox, you know it means business. The black interior looks good while giving you the simplicity you want in a CJ. In fact, the low-back front bucket seats and thin steering wheel remind us again of the classic military Jeeps. But this one also has thoughtful details, like a bikini top, newer upholstery, and a locking center console with a Bluetooth radio inside. And there are also quite useful additions, like the SunPro auxiliary readouts and a compressive roll cage. Under the hood is a 4.3-liter GM motor. This V6 has a legendary robustness earned in everything from S-10 pickups to Astro vans, and so this fuel-injected powerhouse is a welcomed upgrade in this lightweight CJ5. The full package was much more than just dropping in an updated motor. Within about the last 6k miles there has been comprehensive work that includes newer components like the fuel injectors, aluminum radiator, electric fans, heater core, water pump, wiring harness, alternator, starter, tie rod ends, ball joints, and the steering box. The four-speed is a stout SM465 unit with a nice low first gear for plenty of immediate torque. And the two-speed 4x4 transfer case and Mud King tires are all about proper 4x4 prowess. This is a cool restomod that looks good and really knows how to get down to 4x4 fun. Something this unique never stays around long, so call today!
