1933' Lanchester 15/18

1933 Lanchester 15/ 18 Carbodies Atlantic Four light saloon in maroon and black. Sun roof. 6 cylinder engine. 2. 5ltr. Preselective gearbox. Fluid Flywheel. Hydraulic brakes with servo. Mileage currently 75335 which obviously cannot be warranted but feels right based on researched history. In current ownership for 10 years.

Supplied by Truman & Co, Nottingham on 31st January 1933. Documentation includes MOTs back to 1991 (mileage 67000) and Continuation Registration book from 1950. Much history unearthed by current owner. The car will be sold with the registering county’s archive copy of their original records along with correspondence with family of first owner including a recollection of riding in the car in 1935. Also correspondence with second owner’s widow. Photographs from 1930s and 1950s. Large scrap book, Articles and memorabilia relating to the model, original instruction manual and copy parts books.

Original seats in excellent order. Headlining good. New wooden floor. All walnut trim in excellent order. Instruments renovated as required (all working). Carpets in good order. Repainted front wings.

Much work in current ownership including an engine rebuild (2017), reconditioned carb, new water pump, rewired, radiator re-cored, reconditioned front springs, new leather spring gaiters, s/ s silencer, new copper brake pipes, brake servo reconditioned, reconditiopned dynamo, steering box reconditioned, Blockley tyres, Re-covered roof and rebuilt sunroof. Attended 2013, 2014 and 2019 Daimler and Lanchester Club International rallies. Won First in pre 1945 class (Peebles 2019). For that event the car was driven a round trip of over 500 miles.
