A super cool Series 2 benefitting from lots of recent expenditure and service work making for a very useable, reliable Series Land Rover that’s ready to be enjoyed immediately.
An original Marine blue factory example on its rock solid original chassis with new rear cross member and out riggers and common repairs taken care of, treated and painted respectively. It’s had a replacement bulkhead at some point in its life and is in great order. All floors/ wings/ rear tub and panels are in good order and show aged patina which give it great period charm.
It's not a totally original example but retains many period features unique to the Series 2 and has been very well looked after.
The engine is smooth and quiet and the gearbox equally good. It’s a pleasure to drive and steering is direct and responsive (in Land Rover terms) and is easy to navigate, it doesn’t wander and feels nice and precise.
It's been sympathetically restored including:
New galvanised hood sticks and new Exmoor trim hood in sand
New door tops, door rubbers and vent seals
New galvanised front bumper

New water temp sensor
Diff gaskets and hub seals

All new Exmoor front seats in elephant hide grey vinyl with front belts and rear lap belts

New fuel lift pump assembly
Stainless bolts upgrade
Refurbished Lucas wiper motor assembly with new seal gaskets
New rubber mats and rear load mat
Oil and filter service
New wiring loom
New relays and upgraded fuse board located under the passenger seat for easy access.
