460 CU IN V8, A/T, LEATHER, AC, COLOR: BLACK, This custom 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible was built with extreme detail. The cars grand demeanor was retained while more modern Lincoln drivetrain components were installed under bodywork. The Lincoln Continental has a power soft top, modern air conditioning, four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, an automatic transmission, electronic fuel injection, and a modern stereo system. POWERTRAIN The engine is a 460-cu.in. Lincoln OHV V8 that has been upgraded with a new MSD EFI conversion that was added a few years ago. The electronic fuel injection makes cold starts easy and the engine doesnt leak or weep. The engine has an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and MSD ignition components. EXTERIOR The sheet metal is straight, with no rust or paint blemishes. The power convertible top was recently replaced. The glass, seals, and lighting are all in excellent condition. INTERIOR A full tan leather interior was installed during the cars restoration/modification. The upholstery is in good condition as is the carpet, although it does show some minor wear. The car has working power windows, standard locks, good gauges, and a hidden Pioneer stereo system with a remote-control unit. An aftermarket air conditioner/heater from Vintage Air has been mounted under the dashboard. CHASSIS The front suspension uses a Twin I-Beam setup with coil springs, as debuted by Ford on the 1965 F100 pickup. The bushings and shocks are good, with no damage. The Ford rear end is supported by parallel leaf springs and tubular shock absorbers.
