Seller's comments about 1977' Lincoln Continental

Technical data: Lincoln Continental Town Coupe, Engine: 460ci (385 series, 7.5l, big block), 3-speed C6 automatic transmission, Rear-wheel drive. Interesting fact: Lincoln offered 4 versions of the Continental model in these years (not to be confused with the Mark series) - 4-door versions of the Continental and Continental Town Car and 2-door Continental and Continental Town Coupe. Town versions (Car and Coupe) had better standard equipment, including a split seat, independently adjustable by the driver and passenger, richer stitching and electrically opening front door vents. Ford has been offering full-size cars for the longest time among the Big Three. GM cars went down sizing after 1976 (Eldorado was still produced until 1978), Chrysler reduced its cars after 1978, and Ford maintained the production of large cruisers until 1979. The Lincoln Town Coupe belongs to the last generation of such cars from the Ford concern, in 1978 two engines were offered: 460ci, i.e. 7.5l, and 400ci, i.e. 6.6l, while In 1979, due to increasingly stringent exhaust emission standards, the only available unit was the 400ci engine. To sum up, the presented copy is the last American full-size cruiser equipped with a huge capacity engine. Equipment: - power steering - power brake system - automatic transmission - 460ci V8 engine - automatic air conditioning - split front seat, independently electrically controlled seats - tinted windows - leather upholstery - electric antenna - AM/FM radio with 8-track cassette player - central locking - wipers with delay option - vacuum-operated headlight covers - trunk lid opened from the cabin (button in the glove compartment)
