The Lloyd LP 400 was presented for the first time on January 30, 1953 by the Lloyd Motoren works in Bremen, which is part of the Borgward Group, as the successor to the Lloyd 300, which was built from 1950 to 1952. The 300 model still consisted of a body made of wooden frame with paneling made of plywood panels and deep-drawn sheet metal parts, which were covered with artificial leather. The first successor models, the LP 400, were also constructed this way. During the facelift, the LP 400 only received a sturdy all-steel body from November 1954 onwards. The LP 400 was available as a sedan, a station wagon and an extremely rare convertible sedan. This offer is such a copy.
