This is an example of the classic approach of Italians to the automotive industry of the 1960s. The beautiful body by Carrozzeria Touring immediately indicates what kind of production we are dealing with. In addition to the competing Ferrari models at that time, the Maserati 3500 GT competed only with the Aston Martin, which was then to become a James Bond car. This model of the Italian manufacturer is a breakthrough in the history of the brand - it is considered the first mass-produced model, although the production of only 2,226 units between 1957 and 1964 shows that it was not a car for everyone. The car was driven mainly by show business people and the wealthiest businessmen. The GTI version is also the first Italian fuel-injected car and the second globally after the legendary Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. The presented model was factory painted with a rare shade of Amaranto Roma paint. As new, it was delivered to a customer in Italy, and later wandered around the world - it was hosted in garages in the United States, South Africa, France and Great Britain.

In 2016, the competition renovation began in the renowned MBL Classics company, which is a specialist in classic cars of this brand. The vehicle has so far visited exhibitions and elegance competitions in Poland, Germany, Italy, France and Belgium.
