Seller's comments about 1958' Mercedes-Benz 190 Sl
History: The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (W121) is a two-door luxury roadster produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963. Internally designated W121 (BII or B2), it was first shown as a prototype at the 1954 New York Auto Show and was available with an optional removable hard top. The 190 SL was powered by a new, slightly oversized 105 PS (77 kW; 104 PS) M121 BII 1.9 L inline four-cylinder SOHC engine. Based on the 300 SL's six-cylinder engine, it had an unchanged 85 mm bore and 83.6 mm displacement reduced by 4.3 mm, was fitted with two-piston twin Solex carburettors and produced 120 PS (89 kW; 122 PS) gross . It was later used in tuned form in the W120 180 and W121 190 models. Description: This is an unfinished Mercedes-Benz 190 SL. After completing the entire preparation process, the car was painted in its original white color. The painting process started with epoxy primer, finished with seam sealer and high quality PPG paint. The result is a perfect "grain-free" smooth body. Many interior parts have already been reworked, but there are still parts that need to be finished. All brakes, suspension, subframes, differentials and various components are carefully flat blasted and ready to be installed back into the car. The original engine has proper compression. The whole car is "correctly numbered" (gearbox, engine and all numbered parts). The car has all original manuals. Original glove box installed, the clock is also in place. Seats, door panels, floor mats and fenders are also original. Both hard and soft tops are present in the car and both are numbered. Original Becker Europa radio, in beautiful condition.
