Seller's comments about 1969' Mercedes-Benz 280

Welcome to Oldie Point!
We are constantly looking for vintage and classic cars!
We look forward to your offer!

In March 1963, Mercedes-Benz presented the SL series W113 as the 230 SL at the Geneva Motor Show. This was introduced as the successor to the 190 SL and was designed by the famous designer Paul Bracq. The 250 SL followed in 1967 and finally the 280 SL in 1968 with 170 hp from a 2.8 L displacement. Because of its additionally available, inwardly curved hardtop, it was nicknamed the “Pagoda”.

The example presented here in DB542 dark red was manufactured on February 10, 1969 and delivered to Canada. Last registered in Quebec, it was finally extensively restored and was auctioned there a few years ago and imported to Austria or individually approved as a historic vehicle. As part of a larger classic car collection, the vehicle has been moved very little since it was imported. It is in a beautiful visual condition, even if it was restored a little longer ago. The general technical condition of this pagoda is also good, although the body is not without defects. The vehicle comes with the Austrian individual approval notice, a copy of the last Canadian registration, the import documents for Holland and a copy of the data card from Mercedes-Benz.
