SLC - C107/W107, RARE, WELL EQUIPPED. When deciding to buy my oldtimer, I focused in particular on reliability, comfort and dynamics, hence the choice of the proven 3.8L - V8 with a power of 217 HP. The presented copy is one of only two models in the entire range of Mercedes products, the coupe version of which was built on the basis of a cabriolet, which was SL R107. The SLC that I own was produced in 1981 and comes from the USA - or more precisely from sunny California, thanks to which the body remains in perfect condition. The white raven among SLCs - although over 60,000 of the entire model range were produced, only about a thousand units from the very end of production with an aluminum V8 block and a 4-speed gearbox were released. Additionally, the uniqueness of this item is defined by its rich factory specification, which significantly increases the comfort of use. On board we will find: electric windows, air conditioning system, tilting and sliding sunroof and heated rear window. The entire composition is mounted on restored, original 15-inch Barocke ('Fuchs') aluminum rims, of course equipped with a set of new tires. A reliable 4-speed automatic gearbox, well known for its durability and comfort, is brilliant dynamics with a proven and carefully refined design. Characterized by much better performance than its 3-speed version found in cars of a similar year. Additionally, the well-tuned suspension allows not only for confident and engaging driving, but also for overcoming bumps with great comfort. The materials used when composing the interior are soft, well-fitting and pleasant to the touch. Leather in light beige "Palomino" colors with distinguished decors and wooden finishing of walnut root panels is a perfect mix of aesthetics and ease of maintenance. SERVICE The car looks beautiful and is currently in good condition, both visually and technically. During my period of operation, all repairs were carried out on an ongoing basis, including the following components were replaced with new ones: brake pads and discs, ignition plugs and cables, cap, belts, battery and fuel pump. The fuel tank was maintained by removing deposits and impurities from the internal surfaces, and the fuel supply system was also flushed. The vehicle body underwent a paint coating renovation process (secondary paint, application performed for aesthetic purposes by a specialized painter). paint shop). The condition of the structure and bodywork is impeccable, no corrosion or damage requiring major repair was found. (I have photographic documentation from before the renovation). I did not manage to restore everything to perfect condition, hence there are still a few elements that require care, I will provide more information by phone.
