Arriving on the market in 1967, the MGC with its 3 litre straight six engine was supposed to be the replacement for the Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. Produced until 1969 with only 8999 cars made, 4500 each for the GT and the roadster, the MGC is now seen as a rarity. The car we have here is a 1968 example, half way through the production life. In Snowberry white with black trim and hood. It features some of the most impressive upgrades seen to an MGC. One of he biggest issues with the MGC was its steering, with its big 6 cylinder lump and torsion bar set up, a larger bakerlite steering wheel was needed to help turn the car. Now the car features hydraulic power steering and a smaller Mota Lita steering wheel, making a huge difference in driving. Other upgrades include 15" Chrome wire wheels, upgraded heater matrix, chrome plated rocker cover, Spax shock absorbers, stainless steel branch manifold and exhaust, plus triple 45 Weber carbs, all tuned by a specialist. It now sounds fantastic. This is a much improved example that drives beautifully. It come with a huge history file which includes original sales brochures. Images coming soon. Please enquire.
