A classic 1959 MG Magnette ZB 4 door saloon in Black which has been previously fitted with an MGB 1800 engine to give it more oomph. It runs fine (just done a 60 mile round trip ) and the original gearbox if treated gently works fine and it cruises at 50-[60 well. For a 62 year old car it is in fairly good condition but could do with some fettling to finish it off. The bodywork is solid, there are some scratches and age related marks also the roof paint is dull and the bonnet has some blebs and both could do with a re-spray, the front and rear screen seals could also do with replacing but do not leak ( included are a set of new seals ) . The chrome although still shiny has some pitting but is as you would expect for it's age. Inside the seats are in good condition as is the carpet and the wooden dash, it has front inertia seat belts fitted and the original radio which at present is not connected, both front spots and the reverse light work. Recently the car has had a brand new alternator and fuse box fitted and has been converted from positive earth to negative earth , a new screen washer kit was fitted and 2 x new tyres fitted on the rear. For a 62 year old car it is in fairly good order but it is not concourse and will need some work to bring it up to showroom standard as it is a work in progress car. I was hoping to do this but health problems have stopped that now . In short I have tried to point out the good and the bad things of this car but overall it is still a fun car to drive and with someone who has a little time and a small amount of money it could be a real head turner again. I have now dramatically reduced the price as I need it to be sold soon, I am open reasonable offers , buyer to arrange collection.
