Seller's comments about 1969' MG MGB

Surrey Hills Classics are proud to offer you this lovely 1969 MGB Roadster with just 6 previous owners. The MGB was launched in September 1962 as the successor of the MGA. In place of the MGA's separate chassis was MG's first unitary body shell, which made the car stiffer than other contemporary sports cars. Its mechanical makeup was mainly based on MGA parts, the main difference being an 1800 cc, 95 bhp evolution of BMC's long-serving, three main bearing 'B' series engine. This was superseded by a sturdier, five main bearing version in October 1964. By then, Laycock overdrive was also available. September 1965 saw the addition of a GT to the range, with styling nicely reworked by Pininfarina in Italy. “LWR 363H” is a late production 1969 car which means it had a number of changes to the previous years, which includes a black recessed radiator grille instead of the traditional chrome one, sculpted Rostyle wheels, different seats, a new folding frame hood for all cars (previously a folding hood was only an option) and new rear lights. “LWR 363H” has clearly been well cared for over the years, with a fabulous history file containing numerous pages of invoices and old MOT’s. Overall this is a great example of a useable MGB Roadster that is ready to be enjoyed. Any questions please ask.
