Seller's comments about 1968' MG MGC

This is a truly excellent example of the iconic MGC Roadster, beautifully finished in British Racing Green with black leather interior, wire wheels and overdrive – what more could you possibly want?!! This is a very good car indeed, having been restored twice in its lifetime, firstly in 1998 and then again in 2011, which included a full body and mechanical rebuild. The interior trim has obviously been renewed at some stage including the leather seats, correct style door cards and new carpets. Since the renovation work was completed, the car has been properly maintained and further improved, to include the fitting of power steering, electronic ignition, hydraulic boot stays and the number plate is now recessed (see photograph). The wire wheels are excellent with matching Goodyear tyres all round, the hood is nearly new, and there is a good, full length tonneau with the car. The boot is well carpeted and holds a correct spare wire wheel. The chrome work is in nice condition, paintwork is spotless, and the interior of the car is superb, including the dashboard. A high torque starter motor has been fitted, so combined with the electronic ignition, the car starts immediately, tick-over is good as is the oil pressure. The engine was obviously rebuilt very well, as this car is real flier – smooth clutch and gearbox, smooth, working overdrive, so a great pleasure to drive. Excellent brakes with a nice big servo unit.
