1947' MG TC

The first owner of this MG TC lived in New Zealand and the car remained with the owner for the next 50 years , when it was sold and the new owner undertook a complete restoration, such a fabulous job was done by the restoration team that the car went on to win concours prizes in New Zealand since then the car has had very little use and when I brought it back to UK it is still in a fabulous condition, almost as if it has just come out of the showroom.

The chrome radiator and 4.5inch tyres would not have been on the original car but as you would expect the all matching numbers for chassis and engine and date stamped components , such as horn, dynamo (dated 47), regulator (dated 47) and FT27 fog lamp (Lucas) do appear to be the original components, and the interior and hood are as also in immaculate condition, the hood and side panels all fit perfectly and look amazing.

I bought the car thinking I would have to make some changes before a planned trip but once I saw the car in such pristine condition I felt it should be kept in this condition, i.e. original steering and no indicators or other such holes in the bodywork. I therefore felt the car was too special for me to undertake the planned trip and so I now wish to sell it so that a real enthusiasts can get the pleasure and enjoyment of owning a truly classic motor car.
