Seller's comments about 1952' MG Td

Here we have a superb driving, highly usable uprated MG TD ideal for regular use and long-distance touring. This 1952 MG started life in the US and was registered in the UK 24 years ago. Since 2007 the MG has been owned by a lady based in East Yorkshire who has decided to part with the car having had great fun with the it over the last 14 years.
When she bought the car, she was advised that following a body-off restoration and conversion to right hand drive, the car was fitted with a reconditioned, unleaded MGA 1500 engine and Ford 5 Speed gearbox. The idea being to create a more useable an long-legged touring car.

WSY 654 is an exceptional driver, very impressive on the road and without doubt enhanced by the early 1489cc MGA engine. With the extra power, and the highly rated Ford five speed gearbox, this is TD capable of longer distance touring and of course is revving much lower at highway speeds making the car much more relaxed when keeping up with modern traffic.

The MG was clearly rebuilt to an extremely high standard many years ago. It is well presented with bright Old English White paintwork and a smart maroon interior with contrasting seat piping. Many years on since restoration, close inspection does reveal minor blemishes, commensurate with a nicely aged older restoration that is capable of everyday use. We have priced the car sensibly, ensuring this is a very affordable, strong, usable MG TD that can be cosmetically improved without outstripping its ultimate value.

This TD has been further enhanced by a wire wheel conversion and a good set of sides screens. The hood is sound and we believe this is a car that would be perfect for domestic classic events like the Scottish Malts or Le Jog and is also a car that would be fantastic fun on the Continent with the roof down. Whether used for classic rallies and events, or just as an eye-catching 1950's British classic for weekend fun and local shows, this is a superb entry level example of the ever-popular T series MG.

Great value, lots of fun and in strong structural and mechanical condition.
