Seller's comments about 1937' Morris Eight 8Hp Two Seater

We are privileged to offer this beautifully presented 1937 Morris 8HP two seater.
The car has been the subject of a total restoration by the previous owner. Work done includes replacement of the ash frame where necessary, new floors, a professional respray and a complete retrim.
The colour combination of red over black, red interior and contrasting beige double duck weather equipment is very attractive and shows the car off to its best advantage.
A couple of useful modifications have been incorporated in the rebuild, namely the fitment of a later Series E engine which has the advantage of shell bearings and the provision of two occasional seats in the back which makes it a very practical little car, yet retaining the pretty lines of the two seater.
There is a large history file with the car including log books going back to 1945 and a photographic record of the restoration. Also present are invoices for work done to the car.
Recent expenditure includes the fitment of a new 6 volt battery and a set of Goodyear tyres.
The engine starts on the button and runs very sweetly. On the road the little Morris performs well, steering and stopping as it should. With a proper chassis and hydraulic brakes the Morris is far more sophisticated than the equivalent Austin Seven and by comparison represents excellent value.
We have handled a few of these cars and this is by far and away the best we have had – it will make a really fun car for the summer and is the ideal introduction to pre war motoring.
As always, I would consider taking something interesting in part exchange.
