This is a lovely little Part Exchange that has just arrived, She must be one of the nicest Marinas left in the world! This is a 1974 Morris Marina 1. 3 Super De Luxe Automatic! Now how many of these are left? She is finished in Mirage Grey with a lovely Red Leather Interior, has covered 114k Miles and has a nice history. Have a look at the condition and the enigine bay! The car has been restored in the past, many years ago, and is still in a very nice condition and drives really well!The first new model conceived under the auspices of British Leyland, the Morris Marina replaced the Minor and was aimed at the all-important medium-sized saloon market sector dominated by the Ford Escort and Vauxhall Viva. The work of Harry Webster, drafted in from Triumph, the Marina made use of existing BL components in the form of modified Morris Minor front suspension and the A- and B-Series engines, and this conventional mechanical ensemble was clothed in either a four-door saloon or two-door fastback body. An estate version followed and the ageing B-Series engine was replaced by the modern overhead-camshaft O-Series before production ended in 1980.Our car was sold new on the 3rd April 1974 and has covered 114k Miles, and whilst there no early history, the car has been well looked after since the Nineties in tha hands of a Titled owner from Hampshire! Our car is the most Desirable Super De Luxe Spec and extremely rare with the Automatic Gearbox option! The engine has been converted to unleaded and there are many restoration invoices from the Nineties also. SHe drives as she should and is in a very nice older restored condtion now. This is the perfect Festival of the Unexceptional contender, a surprisingly fun and useable Automatic four door saloon and one that draws a crown wherever she goes! The last MOT ran out last year but there were No Advisories at all! She is serviced and ready for her next proud owner to use and show at the weekends! This must be the only Automatic Super De Luxe Mark 1 Marina out there!
