Seller's comments about 1968' Morris Minor

Yes this Traveller is expensive.
If this is your main thought then WRCC keep a stock of more affordable travellers, both good used and refurbished, do not worry.
This particular car is ideal for a new owner / collector that wants the best / better than Cowley Woks example they can find.
The Car: The Traveller has only had 2 previous keepers (1 on the logbook) her current owner has had her for over 50 years.
She was purchased during a family Holiday from a used car lot in Morecambe the used for his wife to run the children about.
The Kids grew up and flew the nest and the Traveller was retired to the Garage, where she sat until a couple of years ago.
Given the cars impeccable service, It was decided that she deserved a full nut and bolt restoration.
Whilst this was being carried out the owner purchased another high ticket vehicle and was told to clear some space in the garage by the wife.
This is when WRCC were asked to find a new loving home for her on completion instead of delivering her, to which we replied no problem!
At this point it would be a good idea to state that for WRCC to build you a car to the same standard as this it would come in at over the £40k mark and take between 18 months and 2 years.
It is probably easier to list what on the car is not new or reconditioned, however here is a brief overview.
Body and underside: Has been media blasted to bare metal then repaired with heritage panels.
The underside has then been coated and painted Trafalgar blue with all the suspension components and axles etc painted gloss black.
This quality of finish is certainly better that what would have been done at Cowley when she was first assembled and is show standard.
Please ask we can provide pictures or conference call with her on a ramp.
Mechanicals: The cars original 1098cc engine has been fully reconditioned has per her owners request.
The gearbox and differential have also been done so the whole drive train is in A1 order.
Braking wise the car is all new new with the addition of a Servo to improve braking.
All the cars wiring is new as are the lights and other electrical components an alternator has been fitted for improved charging.
Given the above the Traveller runs starts and stops as a new car would have, although improved slightly for modern road conditions,
Exterior: The Traveller has had 4 new heritage wings fitted along with the required repairs carried out.
she has then had a bare metal refinish using base coat and lacquer given a super quality finish with a great shine and show quality depth.
You would have to try very hard to find an imperfection in the coachwork.
Interior: A full new interior has been fitted to the minor.
Full meaning everything that you can see or touch in the cabin is new and in perfect order including the headliner, carpets and trims and cards.
The seats have been upgraded with leather which adds and nice touch of class and adds to the new car smell you get when climbing in.
In Summary this is a new Minor Traveller, yes she is not cheap although the owner is actually selling at a loss to find her a loving new home.
It is safe to say that a viewing is absolutely essential to appreciate her, its a bold statement but she is probably the best example for open sale at the moment in the UK.
She would sit perfectly in any collection or be proudly exhibited at any show.
